Born and raised in Birkenhead, Auckland, Jem knows the North Shore well.

Jem has over 27 years experience with raising dog’s…..It all started at age 15 when one day he decided to bring home a puppy and sneak him into his bedroom at night, hoping his mum wouldn’t notice.

Little did he know his mum had noticed puppy noises coming from the bedroom and was actually taking this cute little puppy outside to the toilet to ensure no accidents.

Hydro became apart of the pack, while the boys skated around Birkenhead, Hydro ran beside them.

Between the Boys and Hydro grew a great bond and from this puppy onwards, Jem had a passion for dog’s.

Hydro saw Jem through until his late 20’s and Jem has raised many other dogs since, with each different dog comes new challenges, learnings and experience, while Jem has molded each dog into confident, strong and friendly family members, these dog’s in return have molded Jem into one of the most confident and experienced dog handlers on the North Shore.

Jem has taken his 27 years of personal experience and blended it with 6 years of pack walking and training.

Jem carries a lot of knowledge and is always happy to help his clients.

North Shore Dog Walking was established in 2018 and hasn’t had much of an online presence but has been rapidly growing each year mostly from word and mouth and happy clients.
